ART
A book so horrific it took two authors to write it.
WARNING: The following book has some scenes which some readers may find distressing. This novel is intended for a mature audience only.
Martin Andrews is in a rut. Tired of the daily grind of life as a police officer and with a heavily pregnant wife, he is disillusioned, desperate to give his unborn child a chance in a world in which he has lost all faith.
Little does Andrews know that amid the petty crimes and muggings, robbery and prostitution, a new threat is looming, one which will push Andrews to the very edges of his sanity.
His nemesis is a man without limits. A man with a grand idea for a great work; a masterpiece which will give him the recognition he craves, no matter the cost.
From the minds of Matt Shaw (Sick B*stards, Happy Ever After, The Cabin) & Michael Bray (Whisper, Funhouse, MEAT) comes ART. Told from the viewpoint of both killer (Shaw) and Detective (Bray), ART is a journey into the darkest, most twisted part of the human psyche.
Two authors. One ending.
CUCKOO
Approx. 220 pages.
How do you save a marriage when the man you married is no longer the man who comes home?
Sarah has one foot out of the door.
After years of broken promises, late nights and emotional neglect, she's agreed to one final attempt to save her marriage: counselling. She doesn't expect miracles. She certainly doesn't expect her husband, Mark, to suddenly become everything she's been begging him to be. And yet...
Suddenly he's attentive, he's thoughtful, he's finally listening.
Little by little, Sarah begins to believe the man she fell in love with has come back.
But people don't change overnight. Some become someone else entirely.
As Mark's transformation grows more convincing, small inconsistencies begin to surface: a forgotten password, a different voice... Tiny details that don't quite fit. Yet, by the time Sarah realises something is terribly wrong, the truth is already buried beneath layers of lies and someone will do absolutely anything to keep it that way.
A gripping psychological thriller about identity, obsession and second chances, CUCKOO asks one terrifying question:
If the person you love became the perfect partner... would you notice they weren't really them?
DAY OF THE WOMAN
Contains 4,000 word essay on the state of the world today and the two stories Roe V. Wade and Your Body, My Choice. This is 6x9 format (standard paperback size) Roe V. Wade What happens within this book is a story. Whilst it has the recent abortion laws at the heart of the tale, it takes an extreme turn within the first few paragraphs. Some people may sit there in delight at the deliciously dark goings on, others will worry that, sometimes, it is the extreme routes which end up to being the closest to the reality we're faced with. I hope this book makes you stop and think about what is happening in America. I know it won't fall into the right hands to make a difference, or change the minds of the idiotic but with enough people standing up and screaming when something wrong is happening in the country they love...sometimes...sometimes their voices are heard. Be heard. The year is 2032, and five-year-old Jacob is opening the biggest gift, beneath the Christmas tree, which is labeled for him: his very first semi-automatic rifle—and he couldn't be prouder. He smiles to his parents who sit close by. They don't smile back. Their minds are stuck on earlier events of what should have been a magical day: the moment they found out Jacob was set to be a brother. A second child had never been a part of their "plan". Even if they had wanted one, they knew they couldn't afford one. More than that, the first pregnancy almost resulted in the death of both mother and child. Neither husband nor wife wished to chance that again.... But it wasn't up to them. She was pregnant and that was that. They had to smile at the news and appear happy and financially stable enough to be able to afford a new addition to the family. If the cracks showed in the relationship, the government would come knocking and, the mother would end up in Room 101. The new child, now property of The Powers That Be. Your Body, My Choice! The idiots were out in force. All of them chanting "Your body, my choice" to the rightfully nervous women. Tensions had been brewing for a while with these "men" demanding women have their rights stripped away from them. It wasn't the fact they were saying this that was scary. What was frightening was that they meant it and it was only a matter of time before something snapped. They just didn't expect it to be the women. Out in the country, hidden away from the rest of society, there was an old house which served as permanent base for the women who'd had enough. In this house, with the promise of continuing the fun, these women invited the most arrogant of men back after a night of clubbing and drinking. Once they had them within the house, they offered these men a choice: 1. You can die. 2. We can give you a lobotomy and castrate you but you'll get to live on. It wasn't much of a choice, but it was more choice than these "men" had been willing to give the ladies. It was also deserved. WARNING: This is naturally a sensitive subject. If you're easily offended, please do not read this book. Also, for the sake of arguments, it in no way endorses the phrase "your body, my choice".
GOSPEL OF MEN
From Matt Shaw, the author of Roe v. Wade and Your Body, My Choice, comes a brutal new horror that tears into the manosphere and rips it apart from the inside...
They called it “self-improvement” but, really, it was nothing more than rot dressed in designer clothes.
It began as whispers on forums most didn’t see; the obnoxious promise of masculinity regained, and domination reclaimed. As the internet grew and new platforms emerged, the whispers turned to shouts, and now it’s everywhere: podcasts, short clips, viral speeches, each one a sermon in this new, unpleasant digital church of resentment. The faces change as more are recruited into spreading the hate, but the message remains the same: be ruthless, be feared…
… Be the alpha.
The braindead followers repeat the catechism like prayer. Women are nothing but obstacles, compassion is weakness, and the world owes you something.
Every day, a thousand more boys scroll and listen to the bile, hungry for a voice that sounds so sure of itself. They come looking for strength to help them through this harsh world, but they leave with venom in their veins.
The influencers call it a movement.
The rest of the world call it the “manosphere”; an unpleasant marketplace of rage, sold in thirty-second clips with millions watching every day…
Watching.
Laughing.
Donating.
Subscribing.
Learning.
But, enough is enough. It’s gone on long enough and one man has decided that if these boys insist on learning through a screen… Then that’s exactly where the lesson will be delivered.
Approx: 300 pages
ONE WEIRD BOOK
The premise of this book was simple enough.
Readers got in touch telling me what they would like to happen to the main character in a certain chapter. They would say something like:
"I want them to be attacked by a serial killer who dresses as a cheerleader!"
"I want them to be abducted by aliens!"
"I want them to be taken into a village to be sacrificed for an ancient God!"
- and, from there, it was my job to turn it all into one coherent story.
All I can say is, this is One Weird Fucking Book.
Fair warning: there's some graphic scenes within this book. If you're easily shocked or offended, please do not purchase this title.
NORTH SENTINEL ISLAND
Four filmmakers break international law to make the documentary that will change their lives forever. Their destination is North Sentinel Island, the forbidden home of one of the last truly isolated tribes on Earth. The plan is simple: land, film and leave. Instead, they're stranded. As paranoia grows and unseen eyes follow their every move through the jungle, the crew discover that some places refuse to be documented... and some stories are written in blood. By the time they realise fame isn't worth dying for, it's already too late.
SHEEP
There's always going to be people who believe their opinion is more important than the next persons, but such individuals aren't the worst kind of person. The worst are the idiots who blindly take what they say as gospel; believing their words without proof; spreading the lies and misinformation to other fools who believe all they hear….
SIMON SAYS
From the author of Peter: From Birth to Psychopath. A new psychological horror. The women wake to find themselves locked in a small basement. There are no windows and only one - locked - door. Just when they start to think they have been left to rot in there, the lock clicks and the door opens to reveal him standing there. Simon. Simon doesn’t know his victims. To him they aren’t real people but, rather, play-things instead; snatched from their lives so as to play a simple game of “Simon Says” with him. Each instruction given must be followed so long as he says “Simon says” first. If they play the game properly, they’re rewarded. If they get it wrong, they’re punished. It’s a simple game so - why do so many of them get it wrong?
SOUL MATES
Three short stories in this 140 page book. Each story features a different stage in the lives of soul mates.
Story One: An older couple. Why does the man have a need to glue things he accidentally breaks around the house?
Story Two: A newer couple who know they're the perfect couple, but what do they do when their worried about losing each other?
Story Three: A more established couple. Their lives are perfect and there is no denying their love. But what happens when the thoughts of having a baby comes into conversation?
SYCAMORE LANE
Paula and Thomas think they've hit the jackpot when they get their dream home but their celebrations are cruelly cut short when Paula's life is snatched away from her; murdered when alone in the house while Thomas was out collecting groceries. With the exception of Thomas, no one else was surprised by the brutal murder. The house, standing deep in the British countryside, was no stranger to death and - with a vulnerable new owner living there, consumed with grief - its ghosts were starting to stir. Sycamore Lane is a horror novel full of suspense, psychological aspects, hungry cannibals and the supernatural. While not extreme throughout, there are disturbing scenes within this book, so if that's not to your taste, please note the story is not intended for the faint of heart.
THE AUCTION
Three years ago, a much loved television presenter lost his career when a young lad died at a house-party.
Police investigated and found no evidence of wrong-doing but "the people" who once loved the presenter were quick to turn against him. It didn't matter there was no evidence linking him to the death. As far as they were concerned, he was guilty. That's when the death threats and wishes of violence started.
It didn't take long for everything to take its toll and the presenter soon disappeared into the shadows.
Three years later.
The presenter crawled out of the shadows and, with him, he brought a website called "The Auction".
The site itself was simple enough. There was an option to bid on "the grand prize" and a timer counting down until that option was gone and the winning bid announced.
And the grand prize?
He's allowing people the chance to bid on killing him. Highest bidder gets to murder him.
Some people question whether he is serious, others hope he is, then some comment "just because"... But, the bids climb and no one is looking away. They're all sitting there watching, judging and waiting for the countdown to hit zero.
The story is told through News bulletins, interviews, online commenting, podcasters, youtubers - and demonstrates how people latch onto stories and make their own "truths" out of the limited information they have.
Some stories have an ending. Others change everything.

THE WHITE ROOM RUNS RED
The White Room Runs Red is a new psychological horror from Matt Shaw
There’s two beds, one on either side of the room. There’s a single toilet for residents to share. There’s a two-way mirror through which the residents can be viewed. And then there’s James and Emily, two strangers - stripped of clothes and dignity - who have no idea how they came to be trapped within the room or why they’re there. The questions come thick and fast (why, how, who) but no answers come back, only instructions; when the light turns red, they must go to opposite corners of the room and stand with their backs to the room. From there, the handleless door will open and a nurse will come in to monitor their blood pressure, their temperature and - on occasion - take their bloods. There’s a promise: Do not push back and their lives within the white room will be made infinitely more comfortable with a series of rewards. There’s a second promise: Fight back and face the severe consequences, leading to the “experiments” starting again from scratch.
Trapped within the room, all James and Emily can do is speculate how they came to be imprisoned and why. Will the answers ever come? Will they ever be freed from the White Room or - will the white room run red?
